Let's Learn TogetherHearts & Hands Preschool provides a rich, differentiated and engaging standards-based curriculum appropriate for each child. Our experienced, licensed teachers have the skill and knowledge to excite, inspire, and prepare your child for kindergarten while having fun with us in preschool!
Our curriculum is designed for preschool students and emphasizes adult-child interactions, a carefully designed learning environment, and a reflection process to help students apply and communicate what they’re learning. |
Our Goal
We aim to help our students to become lifelong learners. Through the use of play, fine-motor activities, teacher-directed instruction, and whole-group lessons on language, literacy, communication, math, creative arts and science, we help students acquire important social and academic skills.

Daily Schedule
Children crave simple, firm schedules. It helps them to feel safe and secure so they can devote their full attention to learning and having fun. We follow a daily schedule that is designed to allow us to accomplish all we have planned while, at the same time, providing a secure, predictable, stable routine.
A day in the life of a preschooler at Hearts & Hands Preschool includes:
Arrival: Students are greeted by Miss Amy and Miss Kelly!
Large Group: We gather everyone together to kick off the day on the right foot. During this time we focus on music, phonics, communication and gross motor activities.
Creative Play Centers: Students will experience dramatic play, building with blocks, and playing with toys and manipulatives. We also have a sensory table, an art center, a science and discovery area, and quiet spaces for reading.
Learning Stations: We rotate students, in groups, to focus on language arts, math, and writing activities.
Gross-Motor Activities: Students will have plenty of time to run and play on the outdoor playground (as often as weather permits) or be led in gross motor activities indoors.
Circle Time: Students will sing, discuss the weather, participate in a literature focused lesson and reflect on the day’s events.
Snack: A nutritious snack will be provided each day your child is at HHP
Dismissal: Pack up and head home
